'Little Honey Bees' Enamel Earrings
These lovely earrings titled 'Little Honey Bees' in enamel are called that because they feature busy little bees. Bees are an amazing creature for such a small insect. They devote their lives to making a lovely nectar called honey. Though their lives are short they definitely leave it a better place by all they do. We wouldn't have the world we do without them! These are a lovely pair of one of a kind earrings. I always say- if you are going to buy earrings made by an artist- then they ought to look like they were made by an artist! These are a one-of-a-kind pair of earrings. It's what makes them fun to wear! The ear wires are hypoallergenic silver plated. They hang at 1/2" L and are 1/2" W
I prepared all the metal used in my creations from cutting out the shapes to sanding the edges, they are really hand crafted, every step of the way. Each enamel piece must go through the kiln anywhere from 5 to 20 times to get the color built up on to the metal. I love working with enamels because of the many different patterns that show up, many that I have no control over. This is what makes them a one of a kind piece. It's great to wear art jewelry for that very reason....it will be yours alone! These are back by textured hand cut wellness copper- an amazing metal that help the body in so many ways. These were created atop my hill in my Appalachian Studio by myself, Christine Keller- International Jewelry Designer.
All the enameling I use in my jewelry is created by myself in studio- these are not prefab pieces. All Copper used is also shaped and pattern by myself, making it true one of a kind jewelry. Enameling is fun to do but can be a long process as you have to prep the metal and then put it through multiple firings in order to layer the color.
