'Strike!' Copper Lightening Bolt Earrings
These beautiful, one of a kind earrings are called 'Strike' because of the brass lightening bolts adorning them! I hope you like these. The ear wires are hypo allergenic silver plated surgical steel. These are definitely a statement pair of earrings. My feeling is this- if you want to wear artist made jewelry, it ought to look like and artist made it. These earrings measure 2 1/4" in L and 1" W. They will look fabulous on and will get you you noticed. No one else will have a pair like them.

All the enameling I use in my jewelry is created by myself in studio- these are not prefab pieces. All Copper used is also shaped and pattern by myself, making it true one of a kind jewelry. Enameling is fun to do but can be a long process as you have to prep the metal and then put it through multiple firings in order to layer the color.
By Using Copper with it, you also get the benefits of this great metal: If tradition is to believed, both Copper and Brass (to a lesser degree) have healing properties. Copper is allegedly a strong conductor of energy, and an aid for exhaustion. This makes sense as it is used for electrical wiring. Copper is also supposed to detoxify the body, drawing toxins out from your system through the skin where the copper is worn. These therapeutic properties are evidenced by oxidation, turning your skin green when the piece is not sealed. I have been told by countless customers, that it does indeed relieve arthritis pain. I know from my own experience that if I am eating clean and wear copper, I do not turn green but let my diet be full of sugers and carbs and I will indeed turn green from the toxins. Hospitals also realize the benefits of copper as a movement is now on the replace push plates on doors and equipment in operating room with copper. 95% of hospital germs will live on stainless steel up to 72 hours- THOSE SAME GERMS WILL DIE ON COPPER WITHIN 5 MINUTES! This would save countless people extra long stays that have contracted mersa and other germs from the hospital environment. Brass has the same properties as copper, not quite as strong but has the added benefit of being said to assist in healing the skeletal structure, and is conductive to spiritual and mental healing, self discipline and strength. If you want to wear a bracelet of copper or brass , and do not want to use it for detox (turn green), simply spray the inside with a light coat of hairspray and let dry. When you wish to detox simply wipe it off with a damp cloth.
