'Natures Painting' Pinoleth in Silver Pendant, Handcrafted
Called 'Natures Painting' this Pinolith has a beautiful pattern that looks like sunflowers captured within the stone. This is completely natural. It is like a black and white painting or sketch. I choose to set this is a hand pressed designed that mimics the design found in the stone. It hangs on an 22" silver chain that is handcrafted and features bone and blue web agate, the clasp is a toggle. I hope you like it.
As always, I like to make jewelry that helps the body, or what I call wellness jewelry~~ things worn on the body can add benefits to your health.
Pinolite, also known as Pinolith, Pinolithstein, or Märbelstein, is an extremely rare stone consisting of Howlite, Dolomite and Graphite. It forms when Howlite (Magnesite) nodules settle in layers of Graphite and Dolomite before becoming encased and frozen in time. This mineral has a very unique chemical makeup and was first discovered in 1873 in the Lower Tauern mountain range in Austria. However it was until 2018 that there was only one known locality where Pinolite was found (Austria) but that is not the case anymore. It has recently ,2018, been discovered in Canada. This is a piece from Austria.
Pinolith is believed to be a gemstone of optimism and balance, providing a soothing, calming effect, improving self-esteem while establishing equilibrium between emotions and intellect. Pinolith is thought to promote imagination and creativity by banishing negativity and encouraging clarity of mind for positive visualization. Metaphysical adherents credit pinolith with helping them attain the highest state of meditation, finding it a useful aid for relaxation.
Silver is another of the healing metals that is most useful. Silver has excellent antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. Throughout history, silver has been used in medicine to cure infections and help heal wounds. This makes it a prime choice for body jewelry.
