'Sky Shine' Enamel Pendant in Vibrant Colors
'Sky Shine' is a pendant full of hope and good vibes. Just imagine those sun beams shining down on you and lighting up your world. It makes you cheery everytime you see it or think about it. Let this pendant help you carry that feeling every where you go. This piece has two smaller enamels up the chain representing the sky going on and on.
The chain is non reactive aluminum, and will not tarnish but keep its shine. It is all hand fabricated, every ring in the chain was handcut and formed. The focal measures 2 1/4" in L and 1 1/4" W. The chain is 22" but can be adjusted shorter depending upon where you hook it.
I love working with enamels! Some people say it is a flashback to the sixties. I was too young then to experience that and fell in love with them just recently. All my enamels are kiln fired. This is a process of melting glass onto the metal and it takes a minimum of three to four firings up to 20 firings of each piece to achieve the color layers. Before you even start with that, there is the cutting of the shapes, the sanding of the metal and then the cleaning of the metal, all before you start with to add the color. It is a time intensive process.
