Chrizart Creations is Christine Keller, a jewelry-maker from Buckhannon, West Virginia.  Chris strives to create one-of-a-kind pieces of unique design and color.

Christine began expressing her creativity as a wood-carver in 1995.  In 2008, she took up pottery, leading to experiments with jewel-like cabochons of clay and melted glass.  Having a lifelong love of jewelry, she began wire wrapping in 2009 as a medium for incorporating the cabochons into pendants.  She has since expanded the line to include earrings as well as pendants and rings.

In addition to these handmade elements, her jewelry includes semi-precious stones, crystals, lampworked and dichroic glass, beads and other accoutrements wrapped in sterling silver, copper, 14K gold-filled and colorful, anodized wire.

Life on top of a West Virginia mountain with her husband Warren and three wonderful dogs inspires Chris's creative spirit.  It is the beauty which surrounds her, the love of friends and family (10 grandkids!) and the time to create anew which sustains her.

Chris’s work is shown at: Tamarack, Mountain Made, West Virginia Living Marketplace at Snowshoe and Seneca Center, The Greenbrier, The Huntington Museum of Art, The Wheeling Artisan Center, Artworks in Bridgeport, Artists at Work and Main Line Books in Elkins, Main Street Arts Cooperative and Whimsical Treasures in Buckhannon, and is a member of the West Virginia Made Trade Association.

Artist Statement

'From a young age, I've had a love affair with jewelry.  What girly-girl hasn't?!  Is it any wonder that my creative muse took me to a focus on jewelry making?  I try to appeal to women of all ages, with an inclination toward those who love whimsical, fun, and edgier pieces that make a bold statement.  I am grateful to master wire sculptors Bill Crouch and Preston Reuther for showing me the way, and to West Virginia's Tamarack artisan program for helping me make my dreams come true.'

With love, CPK
